Eleven of our community parks are accessible. Beach Areas 2 and 5 are also accessible due to the partnership between the Town of Wasaga Beach and the Provincial Park who purchased Mobi-Mats to allow pedestrians, disabled persons, wheelchair users and strollers a walkway across the sand to have access to our beautiful beach.

We also need to thank our local athletic youth organizations such as baseball, soccer and hockey whose dedicated volunteers make these programs such a success.

The Wasaga Beach Public Library provides an excellent service to all age groups in our community.

Our service clubs and our community groups have to be commended for their contributions to the town.

Our residents take great pride in Wasaga Beach and their assistance with the Adopt A Road Program is so very much appreciated.

Having a Provincial Park located in town can present its challenges at times however it also has its benefits. The Wasaga Beach Welcome Centre and Nancy Island Historic Site provides ample history on the town as well as information about the species at risk that are located in the 1,844 hectare Provincial Park located in the boundaries of Wasaga Beach. Their 50 km of trails provide for both summer and winter recreational uses.

As Wasaga Beach grows Council will need to continue to evaluate our parks, facilities and recreation opportunities to ensure we are meeting the needs of our residents.
